2 on loss

(A-D) #1

Mel reminded me of a couple I had written many, many years ago... I like her writing (and words) better - but still wanted to share these :)

The shock

my heart fell

The news

Repeated twice

The shock

His face

The image in my mind

I could still see

His face

It was his ghost

My memory

...

...

In the afternoon sun

On this warm summer’s day

My heart and my mind

Both frozen on the moment

Frozen on the instant I heard

Frozen in disbelief

Frozen at the fact that I was

That he wasn’t

That I was here to bear witness

To watch him lowered

To feel my soul follow.

i like yours, it tells more of the feelings you have when you lose someone instead of whatever it is that i do. :D
