So i have seen the movie my sisters keeper and i really loved it and im about to start the book. But i was wondering if any of you guys new of any novels that dealed with diabetes?!

Cheating Destiny by James Hirsch

It's not really a novel but very interesting. He talks about his son's diagnosis and then the history of insulin and different treatments.

you're probably too young, but the babysitter's club books..one of the characters..i can't remember her name though..has diabetes. it isn't based around her though, so it's not mentioned that much if i remember right.

another good book is 'life, loves, and oh yeah.. diabetes' by mary tyler moore. i just finished it and it's awesome! she has a lot of experience and talks about many things, including pumps and changes with diabetes/technology through the ages

i have some others i just cant remember them right now

I read one a few years ago called Last Dance by Laureline McDaniel. It's very short and I read it in about an hour. It's a little bit too much of a young reader type of book for me, but I almost always read adult fiction books. You might like it.

I've searched a lot for novels about diabetics, for more advanced readers, but haven't had any luck. There should be more out there.

I also recall someone posting something on here about a book that they wrote about a diabetic. I'll try to find it and post it here.
